Is it really a fact?
All is for the good!
How can my pain, my sickness, my being in hospital, my loss, all the sorrow around me, be for the good?
Yes, when all is well and life is a breeze, we tend to agree that all is for the good, but when conditions change for the worst?
Still, there it is - black on white - in God’s Word "... all for the good"
How?
We often do not know how negative situations can actually be for the better. Indeed, we do not comprehend all things for our insight is limited. We now only know partially, but someday, in the life hereafter, we will know fully.
But even now we know this and can hold on to it in faith, and be reassured by it: "all is for the good", because God said so.
Maybe it will only be in a couple of weeks before I will be able to see how all was for the good for me.
Maybe it might take years
Maybe, while on this earth, I will never be able to understand. Still I can be reassured in this one fact: God has said that all is for my good, and that is sufficient for me. In some or other way He does use these circumstances in service of my salvation and in the service of His kingdom.
